Notorious during the Prohibition Era, Al "Scarface" Capone dedicated his efforts towards organized crimes. From prostitution, running gambling institutions, and running "speakeasies" Al Capone easily profited from these illegal activities . He killed those who he disgusted and paid off officers to stay out of trouble. Capone was untouchable until the government caught him for tax evasion. Capone thought he would get out within two years but that wasn't the case as he was sentenced to fifteen years in prison with $80,000 in fees between court and taxes. He was released within six and a half years due to his good behavior. After Capone's health deteriorated due to his syphilis eventually dying from it on January 25, 1947.
