John Barrymore (February 15, 1882-May 29, 1942)
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John was born to Maurice Barrymore and Georgiana Drew. At a young age, Barrymore was influenced to be an actor by his parents. His father rose to stardom as an actor in London as well John's mother, Georgiana, was born into a prominent theatrical family and the bond was the perfect condition to help John prosper as an actor. John started his career in acting at an early age debuting in Broadway musicals such as The Dictator. Producer soon saw Barrymore's potential and signed him to motion picture deals starring in movies such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde as well as Don Juan. While filming Romeo and Juliet Barrymore collapsed and died due to kidney and liver failure on May 19, 1942.
